Glazed Rutabagas with Apples

Preparation Time: 15 minutes
Cooking Time: 30 minutes

Serves: 4


2 medium Rutabaga, chopped
1 medium Apple, diced
1/8 tsp. Nutmeg
2 Tbsp. Maple syrup
1/4 cup butter or olive oil
Freshly ground pepper to taste


Preheat oven to 350F.

Peel and cut rutabaga into 1/4-inch cubes. Cook in boiling salted water, uncovered, until
tender-crisp, about 15 minutes. Drain, and set aside. Core and dice apple.

Place vegetables in baking dish. Drizzle maple syrup and butter on top. Place in oven and bake, until apples and rutabaga are tender, about 10 - 15 minutes. Add nutmeg and pepper, toss, and serve immediately.
