Grilled Yams

Preparation Time: 10 minutes
Cooking Time: 20 minutes

Serves: 6

Ingredients

1 lb. Yams
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 Tbsp. Olive oil
1/4 tsp. nutmeg

Instructions

Peel and slice yams into thick circles. Bring saucepan of water to boil and boil yams until just tender. Drain yams and cool.

Meanwhile, combine olive oil, garlic and nutmeg. Lay yams out on a flat dish and pour marinade over yams. Let stand for an hour. Grill yams for a few minutes on each side so that a fork can easily pierce each slice.

This is a great side dish when grilling vegetables or meat.
